Tom's weekend bag
March 30, 2024My son Tom asked me to make him a weekend bag - a request I couldn't refuse. Out shopping with my mum I bought an old raincoat from a charity shop in my neighbourhood for fifteen Euro's. I amazed my son, mother and myself with the result.
As a handy addition, I made a toiletry bag in the same fabrics - waterproof on the bottom and inside, tartan for the bits that show. Who would have thought you could make two durable bags from an old raincoat? The remaining zips and binding from the raincoat were used in different projects - see if you can spot them in my other creations.
